writing techniques, job search strategies, and professionalism
in the workplace. Her presentations have been adopted

Sharla
Taylor is a member of the Career Management Alliance (formerly
Career Masters Institute), a facilitator of job search workshops,
and a published author. Sharla has written career advancement
articles for ChristianJobs.com, AllNurses.com,
and Today's Nurse. She has contributed to
the book Expert Resumes for Health Care Careers. Sharla
Taylor has been writing professional résumés
since 1988. Before founding her writing business in 1993,
Sharla worked as an executive-level secretary. Mrs. Taylor
has developed thousands of résumés for executives,
career changers, people re-entering the workforce, and recent
college grads. Her philosophy is simple, "Résumés
that focus entirely on job duties are boring! Résumés
that capture the person -- not just the job chronology
-- get results!"
Because Mrs. Taylor's résumés were easy-to-read
and gained interviews for her clients, satisfied customers
began to spread the word about the professional-quality
services provided by her company. Over the years, the business
has grown and changed to meet customer requirements. In
2001,
Marylane Wade Koch joined the
company as an associate staff writer/editor and Written
by a Pro launched a website to expand its accessibility to
customers nationwide. However, despite technological advances,
word-of-mouth advertising is still our best resource for
new business; client referrals comprise 85% of the Written
by a Pro customer base today. But don't take our word for
it, here's what a few satisfied customers have to say about
our services:
"What really puts Sharla Taylor over the top is her
willingness to go the extra mile for executive clients that
require speed and accuracy to their demands. I secured a COO
position with Sharla meeting my quick turnaround demands and
producing quality documents to the Chairman of my new company.
I would highly recommend Written by a Pro."
- Bob H., Operations Executive in California
"I was extremely impressed and satisfied with the
caliber of writing produced by Written by a Pro. The
format and the presentation of the résumés and
cover letters prepared for me were top-notch." -
Kathy P., HIM Manager in Tennessee
"Sharla has a real talent for identifying and capturing
an individual's strengths on paper We are very pleased with
the clear, concise content and professional look of the résumés
she created to profile the officers of our IT company. We've
included the résumés in our corporate marketing
packet with tremendous success."- David R., Managing
Director in Texas
"The friendly, personal attention I received and
your familiarity with the nursing profession sets you apart
from your competition. Talk about instant success, I was offered
the first job I applied for with my new résumé.
Thank you!" - Alexis W., Nursing Administrator
in Florida
"Wow. I'm so glad I found you. You make me look great
on paper! And it even sounds like something I would say, only
better." - John T., Regional Sales Manager in
Mississippi
"When people comment on the professional look and
excellent content of my résumé, I smile and
tell them it was the best investment I ever made. I hope you
don't mind, I've given your name to several of my friends.
After seeing my résumé and cover letters, they
want to retain your services." - Michael R., Financial
Manager in Arkansas
"Your keen insight and exceptional interview skills
pulled transferable skills from within me that I didn't' even
realize were my greatest strengths. Thanks for helping to
make my career change so easy. The focus and depth you brought
to my résumé is remarkable. I'm your number
one fan, and the trend is contagious. Everyone in my new office
wants a résumé makeover!" - Marsha
M., Public Relations/Sales Professional in Texas
At the executive level, the search is very selective, the
stakes are high, and the competition is stiff. An outstanding
résumé is required. The writers of Written by a Pro are skilled in developing executive résumés
and cover letters for people in the $100,000+ income bracket.
