Personal Note From Sharla
Dear Job Seeker,
Don't let a tough job search get you down. You are worth infinitely more than a lifetime of paychecks. God put you on this planet for a much bigger purpose.
For those of you who may be struggling with a career change: Be assured that when God closes a door, He opens a window. God has a plan and a purpose for your life. Seek His direction in all your decisions. Hold this scripture close to heart:"For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord. They are plans for good and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope." -- Jeremiah 29:11 (TLB)
Dare to dream a new dream about the type of career that you want, about the lives that you'll touch, and the difference you'll make in your chosen profession. While Building Your Field of Dreams by Mary Manin Morrissey is not a job search book, it is an excellent resource for helping you define and achieve your dreams. I challenge you to stop defining yourself in terms of your limitations.
Who you are is not defined by what happened to you in the past. As Mary Morrissey teaches, "your history does not dictate your destiny." Dare to say, "Up until now things have been this way, but with God's help I chose a different path. Further affirm, "I am learning to be a conscious co-creator with God in my new beginning."
Henry David Thoreau wrote, "… If one advances confidently in the direction of his dreams, and endeavors to live the life which he has imagined, he will meet with success unexpected in common hours."
"with God, all things are possible."
-- Mark 10:27 (NIV). Matthew 19:26 (KJV).
Your friend in Christ,
Sharla Taylor
